    Thats a cool idea setting up a website for your project. Might think aboout doing that with the Inventor Centre students individual projects this year. From memory, The 14M has 5 ins and 6 outs, the 20 has 8 ins and 8 outs. Have a good look at the tech-supplies, picaxe, or surplustronics websites. You should find all you need there.

    Hello to all my new fello inventors!!!

    This year I want to try to make a safe controlled by a PICAXE that has a keypad with a code. if you type in the right code then a solenoid will slide accross and unlock a door.

    To the new year 7 inventors, my name is Sean, and I was a finalist in the national competition, Bright Sparks so you can check out my invention in the Hall of Fame.

    Hi Dylan - good question. Block One sessions begin at 9:15 (or immediately after assembly and roll-call); while block 2 and block 3 start and end on the bell just like normal classes.

    Roger and Corey-
    Here are a few ideas on your electronic fly swat:

    A PIR is a sensor that detects movement - it could come in handy for finding the flies.
    A servo is like a motor that moves an arm up and down. Get a fast enough 1 and it could be the swatting device.

    This information might mean nothing to you, but Google "servo" and "PIR" (or passive infrared) for more info.
